Privacy Policy

What information DoQuietly may process to provide account access, device-aware licensing, subscription status and support.

Effective date: 14 October 2026 · Publisher/brand: DoQuietly

1. Scope

This policy covers the DoQuietly website and Windows desktop application. It explains the main categories of information that may be processed to deliver the product and manage account, device and billing functions.

2. Information we may process

  • Account information: email address, account/profile details you provide, and account verification or session-related records.
  • Device and licensing information: a device identifier or hardware-derived identifier, device records, license status, and information needed to associate an entitlement with the device where the application is activated.
  • Subscription and transaction references: plan, billing status, renewal/cancellation state, provider transaction/subscription identifiers and payment-history records needed to reconcile entitlements and help with billing enquiries.
  • Security and operational records: technical logs and audit events used to protect account endpoints, troubleshoot service errors, reduce abuse and maintain service integrity.
  • Support communications: information you choose to include when you contact us.

3. Payment information

Purchases are initiated through the configured Paddle checkout experience. DoQuietly's website does not ask you to enter card numbers or card security codes into its own form, and DoQuietly does not store full payment-card details. Paddle and relevant payment partners process payment information under their own applicable terms and privacy notices.

4. Why information is used

  • To create and protect accounts and verify access.
  • To associate licenses and subscriptions with the right account/device and update entitlement when billing events are confirmed.
  • To record payment status, respond to billing requests and prevent duplicate or fraudulent entitlement changes.
  • To troubleshoot errors, secure the service and maintain reliable operation.
  • To respond to customer support requests and comply with legal obligations.

5. Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by service providers that host the website, operate the account service, deliver email verification messages, or process checkout and subscription events. We share only information reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to the arrangements applicable to the service. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.

6. Retention

We keep account, licensing, subscription, transaction-reference, security and support information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce terms, and meet legal obligations. Actual retention can differ by record type and applicable law.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect the account service and related information. No online service or local device can be guaranteed completely secure. You should keep your Windows account and email account secure and avoid sharing verification codes.

8. Your choices and requests

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account, subject to identity verification, technical constraints, and records we are legally required or permitted to retain. If you request account deletion, some transaction or security records may need to be retained for lawful accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Cookies and website analytics

This static website template does not intentionally include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. The hosting platform and security infrastructure may generate basic server logs, and essential technical storage may be used if a later feature requires it. If analytics, marketing tags, or other non-essential cookies are added later, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before activation.

10. Children

DoQuietly is a general Windows desktop utility and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us inappropriately, contact support.

11. International processing

Hosting and payment service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, applicable safeguards should be used for cross-border transfers.

12. Policy changes

We may update this policy when the product, service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated to show when the current version applies.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the contact details on our Contact page. Do not email passwords, full card details, or verification codes.
